Our story
Drawn by hand in Santa Monica since 2007
Girl of All Work was founded in 2007 by an Art Center College of Design alum. Every character begins as a pencil sketch in our studio before it becomes tape, a sticker sheet or a shaped pad — which is why our animals keep the same warmth across every product family.
We design, sample and quality-check in house: line weight, colour accuracy, adhesive tack and pack presentation are all reviewed on real desks and real journals before a design is released.
Today our collections are carried by independent retailers, museum stores, bookshops and specialty gift shops around the world. If you are building an assortment for your market, our team is happy to talk through best sellers by region.

Frequently asked questions
What is washi tape made of, and will it damage my pages?
Our decorative tape is printed on washi-style paper made from long plant fibres. It tears cleanly by hand, accepts pen and pencil, and uses a low-tack adhesive so it can usually be lifted from planner pages, notebooks and envelopes without tearing the paper underneath.
What is the difference between flake stickers and washi stickers?
Flake stickers are individually die cut from a sturdier paper composite and keep their shape on curved surfaces such as bottles and laptops. Washi stickers are thinner, matte and repositionable — ideal for layering inside journals and for writing over.
Do you sell wholesale to shops outside the United States?
Yes. We supply retailers, museum stores and distributors internationally. Account requirements, assortment suggestions and current terms are listed on our wholesale page.
How is everything packaged for retail display?
Items arrive retail-ready: sticker packs in hang-tab bags with a round display window, sticky notes and list pads on printed backing boards, and tape rolls labelled with the design name. Most products fit standard pegboard and counter fixtures.
